FOUNDER / INTELLIGENCE / PROPERTY / WEALTH

A family name.
A modern philosophy.

Rosse & Co. was founded by Jake as a modern expression of an older idea: build quietly, own productive assets, think several moves ahead, and create enough financial strength that freedom becomes a choice rather than a hope.

THE NAME / THE LINEAGE

Rosse was never chosen because it sounded wealthy.

Joseph Rosse was Jake's great-great-grandfather. Family history traces that line through Mauritius and descendants of corsair captains. But the story that matters most to Jake is what Rosse did with opportunity.

While abroad, Rosse sent money home and directed his wife to acquire land and businesses. Over time, those decisions became an empire. The family remembers him as a man whose name carried enormous weight in Mauritius, someone widely known, connected and influential. While his wealth dissipated through 13 children and 4 further generations, the principles didn't.

Whether viewed as family history, legend or both, the pattern is clear: earn beyond your immediate environment, convert income into ownership, and build something that outlives the transaction that funded it.

JAKE / THE MODERN STORY

Different century. Same instinct.

01 / 2016

Army intelligence.

Jake joined the Australian Army in 2016, beginning as an intelligence analyst. The work trained him to separate signal from noise, assess incomplete information, think in probabilities and make decisions without waiting for perfect certainty.

02 / AGE 19

Property before comfort.

Jake signed contracts for his first house-and-land purchase at 19. It was the beginning of a long-running habit: turn earned income into assets early, before lifestyle had a chance to absorb it.

START EARLY / OWN PRODUCTIVE ASSETS
03 / EVOLUTION

From analysis to multimedia.

His Army career later moved into multimedia, adding communication, visual thinking and the ability to turn complex information into something people can actually understand and use.

CLARITY / COMMUNICATION / SYSTEMS
04 / AGE 23

Building toward optional work.

By 23, Jake was deliberately testing life outside the conventional full-time path. The objective was not to climb toward a bigger salary. It was to build enough ownership, cash flow and resilience that employment would eventually become a choice rather than a requirement.

OPTIONALITY / OWNERSHIP / FREEDOM
05 / AGE 25

Financial independence first.

At 25, Jake stepped away from full-time Army service and transferred to the Reserves after reaching a level of financial independence that made the traditional workforce optional. He was not leaving one career in search of another. He had built enough control over his finances to decide what work, if any, was worth doing next.

FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE / CONTROL / CHOICE
06 / AFTER SERVICE

Work became optional.

With income no longer tied to a permanent job, Jake used that freedom to explore work selectively: short-term intelligence consulting through a professional network, property consulting with Defence members, and later work with another property firm. Consulting became a way to pursue interesting problems and experiences, not a replacement for the security of employment.

OPTIONAL WORK / EXPERIENCE / CURIOSITY
THE THROUGH-LINE

Wealth was never the destination.

Jake's approach to wealth has always been tied to a broader objective: live well now without sacrificing the ability to choose later. Over time, that approach has grown into personal and professional exposure across multiple millions of dollars in property, without turning portfolio size into the point of the exercise. The point is what those assets can do: create resilience, cash flow, leverage and the freedom to choose how life is spent.

01

Think in systems

Income, debt, property, liquidity, structures and tax do not operate separately. Good decisions account for the whole system.

02

Use leverage deliberately

Debt is neither good nor bad by default. Its value depends on what it acquires, what it costs and whether you can hold through adversity.

03

Create optionality

The strongest financial position is one that creates more choices, not more obligations.

04

Convert income into ownership

Income funds the system. Ownership is what changes the balance sheet.

05

Live while you build

Wealth should expand life, not postpone it indefinitely. The aim is sustainable progress without making the present disposable.

WHY ROSSE EXISTS

To make wealth less mysterious and more deliberate.

Jake's view is that too much financial content begins at the wrong end. It starts with a product, a stock, a property, a prediction or a tactic. Rosse starts with the system underneath all of it.

Can you create surplus? Can you control spending? Can you allocate capital deliberately? Can you use leverage without becoming fragile? Can you survive a bad year? Can you repeat good decisions for long enough?

Rosse & Co. exists to teach those principles in a way that is practical, clear and grounded in real-world decision-making rather than hype.

01 / EARNIncrease the capital entering the system.
02 / CONTROLKeep more of what you create.
03 / ALLOCATEGive surplus capital a deliberate job.
04 / LEVERAGEUse debt to accelerate, not to impress.
05 / PROTECTStay solvent long enough to benefit from being right.
06 / COMPOUNDRepeat intelligently and let time do the heavy lifting.
